alhalla
is located in the foothills of the Alpes-Maritime of
the Provence region of France – on the famous French
Riviera, or Cote d’Azur (coast of blue). The villa
is 9 km from Grasse, the French perfume capital, 25 km
from Cannes, home of the International Film Festival
(mid-May), and spectacular beaches, hotels, and
restaurants.
Valhalla,
loosely meaning Viking heaven, is a perfect name for
the property, as it is perched high above the seacoast
– secluded, quiet, and away from traffic, but close
enough to the hustle and bustle of the French Riviera’s
coastal towns 30 minutes away. (You will appreciate
this much more once you have experienced the traffic
along the coast during the summer months.)
The
villa (‘maison’ in French) is a very large,
private home located in a beautiful Mediterranean
mountain setting. The villa has a master bedroom with
bath; “queen-size” guest bedroom with bathroom;
“kids” guestroom with two twin beds and
hallway-access bathroom; spare bedroom with a
king-sized bed and hallway-access bathroom. All total,
4 bedrooms that comfortably sleep 8 people. There is
also a day bed in the lower level family room that
will sleep one extra person, for a total of 9.

There
are two distinct floors to the villa. The top floor
flows off of the courtyard and has the master bedroom,
powder room, large living room, large eating area, and
upper level kitchen. A deep, stone deck covers the
back of the entire floor overlooking the terraced back
yard and pool. The view is spectacular, overlooking
nearly 60 miles of countryside from Nice, in the east,
toward Draguignan and St. Tropez in the west. The
Mediterranean Sea is visible about 15 miles away in
Cannes.

area.
The ground floor of the villa, leading to the
pool and spa, contains the three bedrooms mentioned
above, as well as the laundry room, hallway bathroom,
huge closets, family room with day bed, and first
floor kitchen and wine cellar. A deep stone deck also
surrounds the entire first floor overlooking the pool,
spa, yard, and valley below. Click here for

Enjoy
the impeccable landscaped gardens of olive, orange,
lemon, fig, pear and apricot trees surrounding the
pool, spa and covered gas barbecue area.
Smell the
fragrance of lavender and other Mediterranean flowers
permeating the air as you walk among the many gardens
and patios throughout the fenced and gated hillside
property. Park your cars in the attached two-car
garage for safe keeping. Take a dip in the 18’ x 36’
heated pool while overlooking the valley and coast
below, or lounge in the 6-person spa. Barbeque and
dine under the large stone and tile pergola, or on the
upper deck patio furniture close to one of the two
Mediterranean kitchens.
